MASTER ARUN SALGUNAN
Master Arun Salgunan operates TPM Martial Arts (Taekwondo Professional Mission). Master Arun is a student of Master Doug Cook, who is a senior student of Grandmaster Richard Chun, 9th Dan Black Belt, who in turn was trained in Seoul, South Korea by Grandmaster Chong Soo Hong, head of the famed Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan. Master Arun has trained for over 25 years in different Martial Arts forms like Tang Soo Do, Taekwondo, Hae Dong Kumdo and Hapkido.
Master Arun is a Certified Master Instructor, who holds a 5th Dan Black Belt in Tang Soo Do 4th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan, 2nd Dan in Hae Dong Kumdo (Korean Swordsmanship), 1st Dan Hapkido. Master Arun is a certified Taekwondo Black Belt by the Chosun Taekwondo Academy, the U.S.T.A and the Kukkiwon. He has trained in Korea and, in 2012, Instructor Arun was the recipient of The Taekwondo Medal of Honor at a special awards banquet, organized by the Chosun Taekwondo Academy.
Currently, Mr. Salgunan trains under Master Doug Cook in Warwick, New York (www.chosuntkd.com). Master Cook is a world-renowned author and traditional Taekwondo practitioner under the tutelage of Grandmaster Richard Chun, 9th Dan Black Belt. Mr. Salgunan is currently a certified instructor of the Chosun Taekwondo Academy, a member of the United States Taekwondo Association, and is currently working toward his 5th Dan in Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan under Master Cook & Grandmaster Chun.
